Through the years we've come across some truly weird and wonderful things that people have either put together or they're just "out there". I've put together a number of these for your enjoyment/amazement!

An Open Letter to the Label Industry
An improvised rant/business proposal purportedly played by Al Kooper at a high level label A & R meeting

The famous "911 Deer Call" (we did the original transfer on this one!)

The Prophet Omega
A truly bizarre radio sermon that contains a commercial for a furniture moving company right in the middle of it.

The Thrash Metal version of the Theme from Laverne & Shirley
(Many thanks to Ken Hansford from Sound Pollution records for this one!)

Some Great Commercial Parodies:

Zigfrieds School of Recording Engineering

Greatest Hits of the Twelve-Tone Masters

Keith Jarrett's Christmas Album Offer
A word of explanation about this one: Keith Jarrett is a brilliant but very eccentric jazz pianist who has developed a habit of singing (well 'whining along' would be a better word), along with his playing in a very "not subtle" way. Most people either love Keith or hate him because of this extra sound he provides. I personally can't get past it, and for the same reason I don't get Glenn Gould either!

Neumann KU-100Binaural Recordings

What are "binaural" recordings?

They are recordings made using a simulation of the human head with molds of real outer and inner ears. A microphone capsule is then placed where the eardrum would be at the end of the ear canal. The resulting recording, when listened to through headphones, have full 360° spatial location (up, down, left, right, front, back; everywhere!) It's as realistic as you're ever going to hear; it's almost spooky. So get your headphones on and listen to:

The Virtual Haircut

The Matchbox

I don't have any idea who's responsible for any of these so if you own the copyright on any of this stuff, and you object to it being on here, contact me and I'll remove it.
